Syncing

Syncing

The 14th was when the media group synced hop the audio with the visuals. One issues with this is they were still waiting for clearance with the music they wanted at the end of the film. However whilst in the edit suit, we were sent the correct music file and given clearance to use it. I therefore added the track into my mixed and faded it in and at the right level to what the director wished. This was then renounced and sent back to the editors to be synced with the visuals. Film Screening

Related to LO2

The original deadline i was given was the 12th but because of some issues i was given until the 13th, in which the Media group visited my house to pick up the finished and mixed version. My living room wasn’t the best place to screening a film because of the background noises from the road at the front and the nature out the back. However was limited to this because of the sound theatre being fully booked. We watch the film and they were all happy with it. However because of the listening environment i suggested they re-listen to it in a quieter environment and to talk to me if there was any issues with the mix or balance of audio.

They then got back to me later on with some more feedback. The director said the film balance was very good, however needed to be played full volume with speakers plugged in to hear it. Therefore i turned up the master fader up slightly and slightly tweaked the mix in order for it to sound a bit louder. And re met the group in the edit suits the next day.
